The Power of Gratitude
Scripture:
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Reflection:
Gratitude is more than saying “thank you.” It is a posture of the heart that shifts our focus from what we lack to the abundance of what God has already provided. When we practice gratitude, even in difficult seasons, we remind ourselves that God is present, faithful, and at work behind the scenes.
A grateful heart sees blessings in the ordinary: the breath in our lungs, the kindness of a friend, the sunrise after a long night. Gratitude turns small moments into testimonies and burdens into opportunities to trust God deeper.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the countless blessings I often overlook. Teach me to live with a grateful heart, finding joy in both the big and small gifts You place in my life. Even in trials, help me remember that You are good, and Your mercies are new every morning. Amen.
Action Step:
Take a moment today to list three things you are grateful for. Speak them out loud or write them down, and let your spirit be lifted as you give thanks.
