DEAR WOMAN, THE ONE WHO BROKE YOU CANNOT HEAL YOU
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” -Psalms 147:3
I remember listening to one of my Thriving woman pour out her heart one day. She kept saying, “if only he would change, then maybe I will feel better.
But as I listened, it hit me that she was waiting for the same person who shattered her heart to piece it back together.
My Dearest beautiful Mommas, the one who broke you cannot heal you.
The apology may never come.
The change you are hoping for may never happen.
But your healing is not in his hands, it is in yours.
Healing starts the day you stop waiting for him to undo the damage and decide to rebuild yourself, step by step, with strength and clarity.
It is not easy, and it is not instant.
But it is possible and doable.
So, stop handing the keys of your future to the same hands that dropped you.
Choose to rise, even if you rise with scars.
Choose to heal, even if the pain lingers. Choose you.
Because the woman you are becoming is far more powerful than the pain you once endured. And the God who binds up wounds will surely complete your healing.
Today’s Supplication:
Lord, I release my healing into Your hands. I choose not to wait on man for what only You can give me. Give me the strength to rebuild, the grace to rise, and the courage to embrace the woman You are shaping me into. Amen
