THE 7 FEARS TO AVOID WHEN GOING THROUGH MARITAL CRISIS
When I was going through marital crisis [if you’ve been here for some time you know], my husband and I were separated for years.
On many nights, sleep refused to come.
And the few nights it came, it was often broken by heavy nightmares.
I was waging battle after battle in my mind and emotions… while “son of man” was busy living his best life.
Then came the fear.
Great fear.
Fear that seized my chest, leaving me trembling in the middle of the night.
Sometimes, I couldn’t even explain it.
But when I searched my heart, I knew it was tied to my marriage.
Would it end?
Would it ever be restored?
What would become of me if it didn’t?
Is he with another woman this minute?
Has he remarried? Is he about to remarry?
There were days I stood tall, replacing that fear with courage and strong declarations over my life.
But there were also days the fear lingered longer than I could shake it off.
And in all, I discovered this absolute truth:
Fear is never worth it.
Living in fear is the worst kind of human existence.
Because fear is a thief.
It robs you of sleep, joy, hope, and even the will to fight for what matters.
Sis, as you walk through your own storm, I want you to be aware of these 7 fears and resist them at all cost:
✅️ THE FEAR THAT YOU WILL NEVER RISE AGAIN.
This fear keeps you stuck. It whispers that your best days are behind you, but that is a big lie.
✅️ THE FEAR THAT ALL HOPE OF THE RESCUE OF YOUR MARRIAGE IS LOST.
Don’t believe that. Healing is possible. Restoration is possible. Every marriage is redeemable
✅️ THE FEAR OF WHAT PEOPLE WILL SAY.
Society will always talk. But their voices should never drown your process of healing and rebuilding.
✅️ THE FEAR OF BEING ALONE.
Even if there are lonely moments on this journey, they are not forever.
Use them to rediscover yourself and reconnect with your strength.
From a whole and healed you, your marriage stands a greater chance of being restored.
✅️ THE FEAR OF STARTING OVER.
Reinvention is not the end of your story. It is the soil where fresh hope and fresh love can bloom again, even in your marriage.
✅️ THE FEAR THAT ANOTHER WOMAN WILL REAP THE BENEFITS OF ALL YOUR LABOUR.
This fear is very real, but don’t let it enslave you.
You are not in competition.
Focus on healing, and remember: when you rise into your best self, you become the woman your home needs.
✅️ THE FEAR THAT YOU’VE BEEN ABANDONED.
This one is the d£@dliest.
In your lowest point, it may feel like no one sees you or understands.
But you are never truly alone.
Support, love, and strength are always closer than you think.
Sis, fear will always try to show up.
But you have the power to rise and say:
“Not here. Not in my life. Not anymore.”
Because it is courage, not fear that will carry you through the storm and into the healing, wholeness, and restoration you long for.
